About Me

My name is Suzie Hayward, and I am a Certified Rapid Transformational Therapist, a Certified Hypnotherapist and member of the International Association of Councillors and Therapists.  I trained with Marisa Peer (the founder of award-winning Rapid Transformation Therapy) and graduated in June 2022.

Traditional therapies can go on for months, even years, but RTT gets to the root cause, and in some cases, in just 1 session (and no more than 3) effectively facilitate the removal of negative emotions, thoughts and beliefs, allowing the freedom to create change for good, and the life you want, unhindered by past experiences.

My Story

At age 52 I found myself asking the questions: “I have everything that I want; my own home, a job I enjoy that pays the bills, my two beautiful children, so why do I feel so unhappy?  Why am I struggling to motivate myself every day?”  I kept thinking “what’s the point?” I was stuck in a rut.

My lack of motivation became a real problem especially because I was a single parent.  And so, I started to look on the internet to find out how to motivate myself.

I remember various videos by Marisa Peer that I watched, where she talked about habits of action being driven by habits of thought.  She talked about the neuroplasticity of the brain and about being able to re-wire the brain for positive thinking.

I downloaded Marisa Peer's free “I am enough” recording and listened to it every day for 21 days.  At around day 10, I woke up in the morning, sat up on the edge of my bed, and noticed that I felt different.  I felt happy.  I felt motivated.  This felt strange but nice at the same time.  I wanted to know more about how and why listening to the recording had changed the way I felt, and this was the beginning of my journey to become a Certified Rapid Transformational Therapist and a Certified Hypnotherapist.

During my training, I realised that there were events in my life that, whilst they were not highly traumatic, had shaped the way I thought about life, and how I behaved.  Events such as:

  • Being left to play on my own for hours, made me feel I was insignificant and unloved.  This created a belief that I was not worth spending time with and a behaviour where I felt I had to please people in order to feel significant and worthy of love.

  • Repeatedly being diminished in front of others where I felt humiliated and insignificant.  This created a belief that I couldn’t trust anyone and that I wasn’t good enough to be loved.  It created a behaviour where I would not allow others to get close to me; I became shy, withdrawn, and isolated.

  • Being bullied at school made me feel humiliated and worthless.  I told my mum, and she did nothing about it.  This reinforced the belief that I was insignificant, unloved and not worth protecting.  It reinforced the behaviour that I couldn’t trust anyone, and I became more introverted, and stayed away from people in groups.

The common denominator of these events was the feeling of being insignificant, unlovable and worthless.  As I moved through life, those beliefs were reinforced by numerous events, one of which was being dumped by a boyfriend.  This led me to attempt taking my life because once again, I felt humiliated, insignificant, and worthless.  I came to the conclusion: “what’s the point?”  This thought was driving my lack of motivation.

During my RTT training, I began to understand how my behaviours were being driven by the memories of events in my life.  When I took another look at the memories of those earlier events during RTT practice training session, I realised that I had created those beliefs with the best understanding and knowledge that I had available to me as a child.  Now, I had the opportunity to look at those early events again, but this time, using my adult understanding, knowledge, and wisdom, I was able to get new insight, belief and meaning which set me free from the negative emotions driving the lack of motivation.  And more than that, I was able to see that something positive had been borne out of those early events; I had an empathy for people who are in emotional pain and a desire to help them be free of it and to help set them on the path to build a life they love.
